7075 aluminum alloy is a high-strength, heat-treatable alloy primarily composed of zinc as the main alloying element, along with magnesium, copper, and chromium. Known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, it is one of the strongest commercially available aluminum alloys, widely used in aerospace, military, and high-stress structural applications. It features ultra-high strength, excellent fatigue resistance, good machinability, heat treatability, and surface treatment compatibility. Limitations include poor corrosion resistance compared to other aluminum alloys, limited weldability, and sensitivity to stress corrosion cracking. Typical applications include aircraft structural components, high-performance automotive and racing parts, military and defense equipment, mold tools, and sporting goods.

Application Areas
